All is quiet on the Utah front

Rooms are still quiet. Laundry still isn't done. House still isn't clean. Shopping still hasn't been done. Naps HAVE been taken. Girlies are still gone. *sigh* That's all. Nothing new. *sigh*

Quiet rooms

My babies are gone for the next week or so. It's so quiet around here. I miss their laughs, giggles, fighting, and "MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY" that I usually hear non-stop til bed time. They are with their grandparents. All three sets of them. I know, I could be doing all sorts of things with them gone. Like...let's see. I could do laundry....no. Boring. I could do cleaning....no. Too much work. I could be taking a nap....no. I'm not tired. I could be shopping....no. Don't want anything. I miss them. Lots.

Cheetah Girls

Tonight is Kaylee's first concert! Her dad took her to see the Cheetah Girls at the Delta Center. For those of you who don't know who the heck they are...let me clue you in...They are a group of four girls on the Disney Channel who sing. Kaylee has their CD and listens to it every night at the loudest I will allow (they are GIRLS for Pete's sake...not Jon Bon Jovi. If it were indeed Bon Jovi, then it would be at the LOUDEST we could get it) and sings at the top of her lungs. We tried to keep it a secret, but she has figured out how to spell the Cheetah Girls and and cat was out of the bag. Tonight before she left with her dad, she had to change into the most beautiful outfit she had and had to have her hair just right and I just about cried when they walked out of the door. My baby. I swear she was just four years old yesterday. What happened? There's no turning back now. She's no longer my little girl. She's officially my little lady. sniff sniff....

My bum

There has been some speculation lately on whether or not the picture on my blog is actually on my bum. So, let me fill you in on a little secret. That picture is a tribute to Leo Lux, my dad, my friend. He loved dragons and I thought that it suited his memory perfectly. It represents love for him and his love for his family. I miss him terribly and wish he was here. It could very well end up on my bum, but for now I am happy to just have it on my blog. Every time I log on I see it and smile. It is a reminder to me that he is still with me and his love still lives. If you would like to have it on YOUR bum, go ahead. I think Leo would laugh, and I know I will!

The Wizard of Oz has been my favorite ever since I was a little girl. My aunt Rubye had this on her blog and told me I could put it on my blog as long as I said that I got it from her. Don't tell her, but I'm not really going to say where I got it. But don't you just LOVE it? When I was pregnant with my first girllie my baby shower was the Wizard of Oz theme. And then we decorated her room in it. Great memories for me! Thanks Yuber Rybue!

Party like it's 2007

So, at last the new year is here. This next month will mainly be learning to write '07 instead of '06, and working on my new years resolution. I don't usually do a resolution just because I feel I am already a work in progress and shouldn't need a new year to remind myself of what I should be doing to be a better person. This year, however, is different. I took a long look at what the year held for me and what I felt I missed out on or just didn't take advantage of. One thing came to mind...SLEEP! So, this next year I plan to sleep as much as I can, or atleast TRY to sleep more. I think that will help the "grouchies" I deal with on an everyday basis. Those "grouchies" of course are my two girlies and husband! Maybe if I take a nap a little more often, then the rest of my family will also. Like I said, I am a work in progress. And if this doesn't work...I will have to find a different route. I am open to suggestions.
