Wow!

This gorgeous picture was taken by my talented brother (whom I've promised to blog one picture a day from the 10 he has sent me) from his front porch...I think. Doesn't it look enticing? I can't wait to take a dip when we go see him in a month or so! It even has a hot tub which you can barely see towards the top of the picture. LOVE those warm Phoenix evenings in April!

Anzhela

This is the best picture of Anzhela I have ever seen. It depicts her perfectly. She is always warm and happy and hardly ever without a smile. If I were to hand pick someone for my brother, it would be her. I knew the first time I met her, and I still believe it today. What a wonderful person she is, and I can't wait to have her as my sis! (no pressure Bryan)

Sunday

Don't forget to go to the Post Secrets blog spot today! My mother-in-law (or as I like to call her: Crazy Lady) bought me the latest book (and have high hopes of getting the first 2 soon) and I LOVE it! It has some of the post cards from the sight, but when they are all compiled together into one book, it has more of an impact. If you get a chance to glance through it at your book store or library, it's worth the 15 minutes to read the whole thing. Take my word for it!

My Weekend

I had quite the traveling weekend. Friday night after work, the girls and I packed up the car and went to The Rock. We stayed the night with "The Crazy Lady" as I lovingly call my mother-in-law. Saturday morning really early I left town with My Kyle's family (the girlies stayed with Crazy Lady) and went all the way across the state to Lusk. It was the first time in 4 months that I got to see Kyle. She has been transfered to the women's prison there. Considering where she lives for now, she looked really good. She was in great spirits and we all had a good visit. She is clean for the first time in a year but the Meth is showing it's signs. Her hair is growing back but her teeth are falling out. She is going to NA and AA meetings by choice now and attends church every week. She says she is still mad at God, but she is working out her issues. I am so proud of her. I never in a million years thought she would make it this far. She has lost a lot of the anger that she has held on to for so long and is opening up to new ways of thinking. I love her as much as I could love a sister if I had one. My heart was full when we had to leave (we got 4 whole hours instead of the 15 minutes I was used to in The Rock) but I still cried when we had to leave her there. I know that when she gets out she will have a different way of life, but will always struggle with the addiction. The progress she has made this far is a good sign that she will make the right choices when she is faced with them. I love her and miss her so much, but she's where she needs to be for the moment, if only to learn how not to get back to this point again. I did learn some "prison" tricks, though. I now know how to make hairspray out of butter scotch candy and pizza with Ramen noodles. Very important key things on the "inside," so if any of you ever end up there, give me a jingle! I can hook you up!

My Girlies

These two cuties are the loves of my life. On very bad days like today, I only have to hear their giggles, see their smiles, and look into their beautiful eyes and all the bad is gone. They rescue me on many days without even knowing it. They are my angels.
