Vacation

This is Ashley and her dad, Dave. Jason and I flew out to West Virginia for her and Jewel's wedding last week. Isn't she beautiful?

This is Jewels, Eli, and Jason. Jason grew up with these two and it was only natural that they were in the wedding. Look how handsome
they all are! They clean up real nice!

This is my short husband and me before the wedding. I wasn't
even wearing heels!

Since Jason was in the wedding, Snappy was my date. He grew up with
the guys, too. All those West Virginia men looked
pretty good for the wedding!
This is Eli again. We stayed with him a couple nights. He is a
bachelor...if you couldn't tell by the "beer tree" in the
background. He has a room mate, Vader, who is a sweetie also.
Here is J-Dog and Amber. I have known these 2 for four years now. It was good to catch up with them! They are married and make a pretty cute couple!

Jason and me the night before the wedding. We finally got to sit and
relax and enjoy a few beers with "the guys."

Carol is Jason's sister and that is Katie, Jason's niece. It was the
first time I got to meet them. Katie is one day older
than Lizzy. I realized that the only good french fry
is a stolen french fry from Uncle Jason! So cute!
This is right after we shared an ice cream cone twist. she doesn't
like the cone...just the ice cream!

Here is Grandma Mary. She is Brenda's mom. She will
be 87 this month! She's a great grandma and I
miss her already.
What kind of vacation would it be if I didn't get any
sports history in? This is John Marshall. Marshall University
was named for him. Why? I really don't know. I tuned out
the rest of the lecture about him. I was more interested
in the red flowers surrounding him.
This is the memorial that Marshall University built for the
players, coaches, alumni, and fans that died in the plane
crash in the 1970's. It was very peaceful. If you saw the
movie "We Are Marshall" then you know the story behind it.
Creepy barn in the middle of Kentucky. Reminded me of a horror
movie. We walked inside and it was even worse in there. I think
I am going to blow this picture up and frame it.
I just LOVE all the green !
St. Louis! It was the first time I had been there and I looked the
tourist part hanging my head out the window
to take this picture!
Did I tell you that Jason and I drove back? This is the car
we drove. It will be Neener's one day...when it's fixed. This
picture is of the car broke down in Sidney Nebraska. Like the
first words Jason ever said to me "Nebraska sucks!" All in
all my 7 days non-stop with my husband were great!
Even with the car problems! I can't wait to do it again next year!

I can't believe how time flys!

This week my baby girl is turning 5!!! I remember the day I had her she was as big as a football and now she is half as tall as I am. I don't know where all the time went! She will be starting school in the fall and that makes me a little nervous and really scared! Next it will be boys and malls instead of princesses and Dora. Already she's too s-m-a-r-t for her own good. What will happen when she puts it too good use?? I don't even want to think about it!
