Susan and Jay Getz

This is Susan and Jay. They were married June 15, 2007. Susan and I have worked together for 13 years all together at the last 3 jobs we have had. We have been together through thick and thin and the good and the bad. We have supported each other through divorce, babies, and Wal-Mart. I am proud to say that she has found the love of her life and they are finally FINALLY married! Congratulations Susan and Jay!

Our first Minor League Baseball Game

The Ogden Raptors are our local Minor League Baseball team. Jason got tickets to the game tonight and so our family headed out to fight the crowds and dinosaur lovers to see our first game together.
The girls loved the chips and sodas and weren't too impressed with the hot dogs. We had ourselves a fun little picnic before the game started.
See how Lizzy is guarding her drink? That's Mommy's drink but she had her own...Mommy didn't have anymore soda about 4 minutes after this picture! Remind you of someone?

This is the scoreboard and to put a location to this field...it's almost directly side by side with the Mormon Temple in Ogden. I know, I didn't care about that either.
It's a really pretty stadium and this picture tells you how early we showed up to "beat the crowd." By the time the game got underway the whole stadium was full. It seats about 5000 people.
Another view of the park. It was rated the 4th best minor league ballpark by ballparks.com. The view of the mountains was spectacular and if we would have stayed until the end of the game, we would have had a beautiful sunset.
These are pitchers working out before the game. Not too rigorous, I would have to say.
And then they signed gloves and balls while the rest of their team ran around and warmed up.
This is ONE of the many pitchers. He's telling the staff guy that his girlfriend is in the audience (general seating). She got up and got one of the "better seats" right after this picture.
Then he went and talked to his co-pitcher buddy for a while...probably about his girlfriend! The rest of the team is still running around and warming up. I'm telling you that being a pitcher has its perks!
More autographs...lots of that going on.
This is the Raptors mascot, Ogie. He didn't look too scary. I always thought raptors were supposed to be scary. Not this one. He gave lots of hugs and high fives. If I wasn't the one behind the camera, I would have gone over and given him a hug.
And here's my Kaylee and husband with the local hero. We had to chase him down since there were so many kids wanting him. Lizzy was too scared of him to get a picture with him. I guess he could be pretty intimidating to a 2 year old.
We stayed for 3 full innings and decided to call it night. The girls weren't used to sitting that long. And, honestly, my butt was getting a bit numb! We had a great outing and my husband and I can't wait to go see one with just the two of us. Definitely worth doing again! I can't believe I just said that!
