The girls and I are spending time in WY while school is off track. I didn't have time to blog about the Princess Party before I left, but will post all the pictures when I get back. While we are gone Brooklyn will turn the BIG ONE year old! Yeah! She has 4 teeth and will start walking any day. Easter is coming...HAPPY EASTER!! This isn't the best picture, but you get the gist of it...I spent all day yesterday baking and frosting cupcakes for the Princess Party we are going to tonight. And this is what I ended up with. Pretty cute, huh? I think so! After I figured out how to use the frosting tips it was pretty easy. I have never tried anything like this before, and wasn't so sure it would work out, but I'm pretty proud of the ending result...aside from the fact that the frosting is suppose to be YELLOW! Oh well! I will let you know how the party goes!
And we will be in Rock Springs. We are doing the "Grandma Tour" and visiting all 3 Grandmas. Nothing but 3 weeks of playing and enjoying the Wyoming spring wind! It will probably snow. Yuck!
I'm not a soup-cooker-girl...at all. But, with Aunt Woobee's help and encouragement I decided to see if I couldn't at least make it LOOK like soup. The pot in this picture was given to me when I married T.I.M. by Grandma Lil so it was only natural that I use it.
I threw everything in and let it cook up (and I didn't let the milk boil Aunt Woobee!).
Isn't it pretty? And it tasted so good! Jason isn't a soup person either, but he loved it! He's taking the leftovers to work for lunch...it's a good thing since I made way too much!
It did my heart good to use Grandma's recipe and the pot she gave me. Her legacy still lives on. If you know of any other recipe's of hers...please let me know!
Last night we had the best slumber party! Kaylee's friend, Anna, and Elizabeth's friend, Bristol, stayed the night with us. We watched movies and decorated cookies and played, but didn't get much sleep...time for a nap!
