Work work work

This time of year is always very busy for me and my family. Working retail you get to put in alot of stressful hours and not very much appreciation. One thing that gets me through this is my girls. This is the first year they fully participated in putting up the tree. We all had a blast...and the tree looks pretty cute with all the little ornaments bunched up on the bottom of the tree! They each have a few of their own ornaments and spent hours trying to figure out the best place to put them. I walked into the living room the other day and found Lizzy pointing to each of hers saying "mine...mine...mine" and when she would come to Kaylee's ornaments she would shake her head. So it went a little like this: "Mine...shake head...mine...mine...shake head...mine." I think that's her favorite word and says it better than any other word so far. I think that comes from her sister! Kaylee is very concerned about how Santa Clause is going to find us this year since we have moved from Wyoming. She has decided that we need to decorate our sliding glass door so that he knows what apartment is ours. Very creative she is! I miss my family more this year than ever. I feel like I am in another country. It's still strange to me that most the people I see during the day I will probably never see again...just because there are so many around me. I am used to the small 'small town way' still and keep looking for people I know. I don't know if I will ever get used to that. Anyway, I have realized that I need to appreciate my family more and the time I do get to spend with them means more to me this year than ever.
