Bed Fairies
I had an overwhelming memory come to mind recently. Do you remember the bed fairies? Mynetta and I were named that by Grandma Lil. When ever we would visit Grandma we would sneak into her room and make her bed. She never failed to act surprised. I miss the summers when all of the grandchildren would take turns visiting her and our aunts. I have great memories of the fort we all built behind her house. I still live by her rules that were drilled into our heads:
Never ever walk in grass above your knees...you can't see if there are snakes. Always stay where you can see home...you don't want to get lost. Don't go walking at night...you can't see if there are badgers near by.
I miss her. Lots.
It's good to be back! Love you all!

Ah, yes... the bed fairies! What a great, fun way to get us to help around the house. I never minded doing anything for Grandma Lil because she was always so happy and appreciative.
Love you, Lolly! Glad to see you back on the blog.
She always did something to make each of us feel like the "Favorite" one. LOL. I loved staying at her house and getting beat in scrabble.
