Grandma Lil's Potato Soup

I'm not a soup-cooker-girl...at all. But, with Aunt Woobee's help and encouragement I decided to see if I couldn't at least make it LOOK like soup. The pot in this picture was given to me when I married T.I.M. by Grandma Lil so it was only natural that I use it.

I threw everything in and let it cook up (and I didn't let the milk boil Aunt Woobee!).

Isn't it pretty? And it tasted so good! Jason isn't a soup person either, but he loved it! He's taking the leftovers to work for lunch...it's a good thing since I made way too much!
It did my heart good to use Grandma's recipe and the pot she gave me. Her legacy still lives on. If you know of any other recipe's of hers...please let me know!

I decided to make mom's chocolate chip cookies and YOU have that recipe!

As I started the process, I remembered one great tidbit of advice that she always did and said to do...anytime you have more than ONE of anything (cup, spoon, etc) always count out loud. Then you always remember what number you are on.

And when she made her bread, we counted together cup after cup after cup of flour!

love you!
